Medscape Education Medscape CME learning centre: Obesity and Weight management

Medscape has a collection of Obesity and Weight Management eCME’s available on their website. The eCME available is primarily focused on obesity-related complications, such as dyslipidaemia, diabetes and cancer. There is also eCME content available from sessions at recent medical conferences.

Obesity Canada Obesity Canada: Online advanced obesity management program

This programme from Obesity Canada is designed for healthcare professionals who are looking to further their understanding of the causes and consequences of obesity. This programme is also suitable for additional preparation for the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) exam and the Certified Bariatric Educator Program (CBE).

ABOM American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM)

The American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) serves the public and the field of obesity medicine by maintaining standards for assessment and credentialing physicians. Certification as an ABOM diplomate signifies specialised knowledge in the practice of obesity medicine and distinguishes a physician as having achieved competency in obesity care.

SCOPE World Obesity Federation: SCOPE

SCOPE is the only internationally-recognised certification in obesity management. The programme aims to develop a consistent approach for managing obesity. SCOPE combines e-learning, live courses, sessions and lectures which allow users to earn SCOPE points which count towards their SCOPE certification.
